Weekly Update

Dear Resident please see below a weekly update of incidents/crimes/good outcomes in relation to the Benfieldside, Blackhill, Bridgehill and Shotley bridge area over the last week.

Weekly Update 21st February - 28th February:

On Sunday 22nd of February a white Ford Transit has been stolen from Bessemer Street at some point between 1700hrs and the next day. A crime of theft of motor vehicle has been recorded and is under investigation. If anyone has sighted anything or has any information in regards to the incident or where the bike is coming from, please contact Durham Police on 101 and quote crime ref. CRI00666271

On Thursday 26th of February a dark coloured scrambler bike has been spotted riding around Pemberton Road at around 1640hrs. An area search was conducted, and no bikes were located. If anyone has sighted anything or has any information in regards to the incident or where the bike is coming from, please contact Durham Police on 101 and quote incident no. DHM-26022026-0298. Regarding off road bikes in general – if residents sight bikes or quads that are being used anti-socially coming or going from a property, please make contact via 101. Any information provided is treated confidentially/anonymously and we can work with housing providers to remove the vehicles.
